The Lorax...and other brilliant works.

Bridger sat down to breakfast yesterday and paused to tell me that he "Woke to a blorious (glorious) sight." When I asked him what it was he said, "toys, and toys, and toys."  Pondering the source of such a descriptive word, I was at a loss.  But last night revealed that truffula trees are a "glorious sight" in our dear book The Lorax.  We haven't read the book for a while so it was fun to see him pull that word out of nowhere.

After pooping in his underwear, Bridger noticed my dissappointment and frustration over having to clean him up.  He asked, "Are you sad mommy?"  "No" I said, "I'm just disappointed that you didn't use the potty."  He paused and looked up at me to say, "I will make you happy Mommy.  I will poop in the potty next time."  While he refuses to count and could care less about learning his alphabet, this kid absolutely excels in the emotional intelligence category.  Let's hope those skills continue to set him apart :)
