Here's to you Bridger! Congrats!

Friday was the first day of our militant attack on diapers. As our cloth diapers degrade, the push to potty train has been intensified. After three days of potty training boot camp, Bridger has decided to make it happen. Bribed by stickers, chocolate covered raisins, and ultimately a pillow pet, the potty training has reached its apex and is in refining skills mode. Last night, we celebrated Valentines Day (i.e. B's first poop day) by taking him out to dinner and to the mall to pick out his pillow pet. For everyone who understands my detest for light colors, cream in particular (being that we own a black lab and have a messy boy) you will not be surprised by my mild disappointment in Bridger's choice. A mostly-white panda despite my coercion to get the green turtle, but he earned it!

Not only was it fun to watch him dart to the kiosk in the mall with his short little legs moving so fast they were visually blurred, but then to watch his face light up as he realized he was going to take one home. "Are we going to buy it?" he asked. When told yes, he grabbed the panda with both arms and darted down the mall corridor excitedly. He then entered a "teen fashion" store and climbed into the front window hugging and snuggling his panda proudly while smiling at us through the glass. Smiles all around, he is such as sweetie! Once home with our new addition, Bridger turned him into a pillow and requested a movie so that he could lay on the pillow pet. I guess this is the time when or strategy not to buy him things when we go out really pays off. The kid gets appreciation already :)

Way to go B! We are so proud of you.
