January 2010: At home.

January brings a new year, a new home, and many new words from our budding commentator. To name a few "water", "boat", "pasta", "up.up.up", "dow.dow.dow" on the stairs, and the ever famous "dat" that seemingly will not let go. Bridger was fortunate enough to acquire a train table this month from Ruth, whose name he says almost perfectly and he is LOVING it. We spend many hours running train schedules around on that little miracle. When he's not playing trains he is likely running circles around the kitchen with his shopping cart or finding crayons, markers, and pencils to color with on the walls.
Winter weather brings winter fun...searching for things to do indoors we decided to take up painting. Looks like Bridger has his mom's artistic ability...abstract is best for our type. Check out the video version of cabin fever below!

Carefully crafting his artwork. He didn't get a drop on his hands for the first 10 minutes but finally gave in to his curiosity and gave the paint a taste.

We had SNOW in B-town! Two snow days this month brought cabin fever so we ventured outside to check on Tom's progress. Bridger is really unsure of gloves and is even more unsure of actually touching snow. He LOVES to point it out, even the tiny dwindling piles in parking lots.

Bacchus out stretching his legs after a long winter's nap. What a cozy, snow covered home. :)

Trying out his new boots before the snow. "Who is that guy in our leaves"? Bridger wondered. He's actually a stowaway we acquired at the rental property. If we were fortunate enough to re-inhabit Bloomington then he must have been worth moving. Maybe he'll bring us more luck in the future.

CABIN FEVER!
