Ice Fairy Visits Bloomington!

It was a wonderful morning in Bloomington for this lonesome mommy. The call for school cancellation came in about 6:00 am. NO SCHOOL! The rooftops were covered in ice and any exposed concrete is virtually impassable. What a fortunate event for Bridger and I. After a weekend of sharing our little bundle of joy with family in Valparaiso, I was ready for a little R&R with Bridger. We got up to play as usual from 5:30-6:30, took a nap, and finally awoke at 8:30. Thankfully, Tom is home too, so no driving on the dangerous roads for him. In true Midwestern style, I whipped up a meatloaf for later (the OPatterson Meatloaf, which surpasses all other mealoaves in culinary flair) and snuggled in for the morning. We're headed out for lunch at the Siam House, a favorite spot for Tom and I and then over to visit Ruth. Nothing quite compares to unexpected gifts of time.
